Night Porter

Role overview

Salthill Hotel is hiring a Night Porter to support hotel operations during overnight hours. This position covers both guest-facing and behind-the-scenes tasks, including front desk support, housekeeping-related duties, and serving drinks to residents in the bar area.

The hotel is looking for someone who presents well, communicates clearly, and is comfortable taking initiative and working independently.

Key duties

• Welcome guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional way.
• Follow company rules and hotel procedures, including customer care standards, fire safety practices, cash handling rules, and health and safety requirements.
• Keep the lobby and other public spaces clean, tidy, and ready for guests at all times.
• Make sure the hotel exterior, including the car park, remains clean and well maintained.
• Respond to reasonable guest requests quickly and professionally.

Candidate profile

• Strong customer service background.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Previous exposure to front office systems.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluent English speaker.
