About the Role

YMCA Queensland's Y Schools at the Senior Redlands Campus in Victoria Point is looking for a committed Pathways Coordinator to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. The coordinator will assist the Pathways Lead in facilitating vocational and education training initiatives designed for vulnerable youth. Daily Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with RTO trainers in the academic and wellbeing program delivery.
  • Help students understand and use information critical for career development and job opportunities.
  • Keep career development educational resources current and accurate.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a Certificate IV in Career Development or an equivalent qualification; alternatively, significant experience in Youth Work with progress toward such qualification.
  • Holding or willingness to obtain a Positive Notice Blue Card.
  • Possession of a National Police Check within the last 12 months.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Proven experience working with at-risk young people.
  • Ability to provide personalized support and create action plans helping youth to explore opportunities and progress academically and vocationally.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of labor market trends, employability skills, and job acquisition strategies with effective communication to youth.
