Role Overview

As a Personal Support Worker, you will deliver in-home assistance to clients with spinal cord injuries. Your support encompasses various aspects of daily living and healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers between bed, wheelchair, and use of hoists as needed
• Provide grooming services including bathing, dressing, and dental care
• Support personal care such as toileting and managing bladder and bowel functions
• Deliver basic wound care and assist with self-administered medications
• Perform domestic tasks including meal preparation, household chores, and laundry
• Enable community participation by driving to appointments and social events

Candidate Profile

• Strong communication skills and attentive listening are essential
• Ability to follow a fixed recurring roster covering mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight shifts
• Possession of a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Current or willingness to obtain NDIS Workers Screening and Blue Cards
• Relevant qualifications and/or prior experience in personal support roles preferred
