Program Manager, Poland - Trust & Safety

About the Role

The Market Risk Management (MRM) team focuses on addressing risks arising from the interaction between global safety frameworks and the unique political, regulatory, and cultural aspects of individual markets. Using a combination of market-specific data, expertise, and collaboration across teams, MRM develops tailored approaches to manage Trust & Safety risks and maintain effectiveness globally.

As a Program Manager for the Polish region within the Trust & Safety division, you will assess and mitigate risks by ensuring that policies, programs, and systems collectively protect users and deter abuse across platforms. You will contribute regional insights, drive strategic safety initiatives, and lead cross-functional projects involving public policy, legal, communications, product, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed internal reports on public sentiment and risk identification to guide mitigation efforts and inform trend analysis.
• Design and implement risk prevention strategies focused on Polish social media platforms, emphasizing issues such as youth safety, hate speech, and cyberbullying.
• Collaborate with teams across Trust and Safety and related departments to uncover and resolve safety vulnerabilities, enhance community welfare, and optimize product features.
• Lead initiatives across various TikTok features, using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Drive the full project lifecycle from definition and scope through execution with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Polish user-generated content (UGC) social platforms along with understanding of the regional political, regulatory, and cultural environment.
• Fluent Polish language skills are crucial to serve the Polish market effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of Trust and Safety challenges, operations, and risk control methods.
• Experience in program, project, or product management, ideally within safety, risk control, or anti-spam environments, demonstrating strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort with handling large datasets and performing detailed data analysis using tools such as Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts). Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and adapt to daily operational challenges.
• Resilience and commitment to personal well-being to manage the emotional demands linked to exposure to challenging content.
• Preferred: Over three years of experience in Trust & Safety and user-generated content platforms.

Additional Information

This position involves routine exposure to harmful content categories including but not limited to bullying, hate speech, child safety concerns, and depictions of harm to individuals or animals, which may be psychologically demanding.
