Role Overview

The Project Coordinator reports to the Pre-Construction Manager or a designated team member and is integral to project execution. This role involves collaborating closely with project management to ensure effective oversight of cost, schedule, safety, quality, planning, and communication aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site administrative tasks including tracking work hours, subtrade tickets, materials consumption, and key performance indicators.
• Prepare and submit accurate purchase order requisitions promptly for approval.
• Communicate project plans, risk assessments, updates, and decisions with various stakeholders including employees, vendors, trades, and subcontractors.
• Handle inquiries from external parties and coordinate timely responses.
• Generate and submit Daily Construction Reports after review.
• Review monthly quantities with consultant/owner approval for contract progress estimates and reconcile subcontractor and material progress reports.
• Develop proficiency in budget management, cost reporting, and revenue forecasting at the project level.
• Assist or develop project schedules as required by the Project or Construction Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Aecon's corporate health and safety programs and quality control protocols.
• Lead or contribute to safety toolbox talks to promote onsite safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent training and relevant experience.
• Between 3 to 5 years of combined experience in civil construction project execution roles.
• Flexibility for rotational work assignments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong abilities in time management, prioritization, organization, and self-motivation.
• Adaptability to flexible and changing work schedules and timelines.
• Ability to collaborate positively within a team environment.
• Willingness and capability to work away from home for extended durations, including travel across all Canadian provinces and territories.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Preference given to candidates with previous cooperative education (Co-op) experience.

Additional Information

This is a newly created position with an expected salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on factors such as work location, education, experience, unique skills, certifications, and role complexity.
