Project Director - Data Centre Construction

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee the delivery of a significant new hyperscale data centre construction project located just outside Dublin, Ireland. This role involves taking charge initially of the front-end civils, structural and enabling works (CSA packages), and managing the overall construction strategy before directing the full build programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project from early civils and structural (CSA) work stages through entire project delivery.
• Define and implement the construction strategy, project programme, and organizational structure for delivery.
• Manage CSA packages such as civils, groundworks, concrete, steel erection, and building envelope installation.
• Provide strong leadership to on-site management and engineering teams.
• Maintain control over project schedule, budget, quality, and safety performance.
• Develop and sustain senior stakeholder relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
• Identify project risks at early stages and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure smooth transition from civils and structural delivery stages into mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installation and commissioning phases.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager.
• Extensive background delivering large-scale data centre or other mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience with front-end civils, structural and enabling (CSA) construction works.
• Previous employment with a General Contractor highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills combined with commercial acumen and client relationship management expertise.
• Track record of delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary of €180,000 with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus, company car, and pension scheme.
