Role Overview
The Project Manager position is a full-time, on-site role located in Houston, TX. This individual will be accountable for managing architectural and interior design projects throughout the entire lifecycle—from initial concept through to final completion. The role involves managing project timelines, deliverables, and allocated resources to ensure milestones are achieved in line with client expectations, budgets, and all applicable regulations. Key daily responsibilities include leading project meetings, managing communications with clients, consultants, and internal teams, and overseeing construction progress and quality assurance. The Project Manager will maintain thorough project documentation, facilitate permitting and inspection processes, and proactively identify and address potential risks or delays. Additionally, this role contributes to the ongoing enhancement of internal workflows and fosters a culture prioritizing client-focused collaboration aligned with the firm's design and service principles.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in project management covering planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience in expediting tasks such as permit submissions, managing submittal reviews, and coordinating approvals.
- Practical knowledge of inspection activities including monitoring construction quality, enforcing design compliance, and ensuring adherence to codes and standards.
- Competence in logistics management to coordinate materials, vendors, and on-site operations keeping projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Prior experience managing architecture or construction projects, ideally within commercial, education, multifamily housing, or healthcare sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills suitable for collaborating with diverse teams and clients.
- Familiarity with project management and design software tools such as MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, and standard office suites.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston and juggle multiple projects while adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Professional certifications like PMP or LEED are considered advantageous but not mandatory.
