About the Role

The Project Support Officer will play a pivotal role in facilitating the rollout of the Trust's Inventory Management System (IMS) and supporting broader service enhancement efforts. Collaborating closely with clinical teams, procurement staff, and other key stakeholders, you will oversee implementation activities, maintain comprehensive project documentation, facilitate stakeholder communication, and contribute to embedding new processes and systems throughout the organisation.

This position offers the chance to be involved in a significant transformation initiative aimed at modernising inventory management with digital tools, streamlined processes, and efficient project coordination. Responsibilities will span from planning and organising rollout activities to aiding training, communications, launch events, and continual service improvements to ensure successful project completion and sustainable change.

The ideal candidate is adaptable in a dynamic environment, excels in relationship building with varied stakeholders, approaches challenges analytically, multitasks effectively, and is committed to supporting extensive change programmes that improve operational performance and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment of the NHS Trust’s Inventory Management System and related service improvement projects.
  • Organise and monitor project plans, schedules, meetings, and critical milestones to guarantee timely and effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborations with clinical teams and partners to foster acceptance and use of new technologies and workflows.
  • Keep detailed and up-to-date project records, action logs, reports, and tracking mechanisms for efficient programme management.
  • Support educational initiatives, communication strategies, and user engagement efforts to prepare teams for transitions.
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve risks, issues, and interdependencies to maintain project momentum.
  • Utilise digital tools to assist planning, reporting, data management, and decision-making processes.
  • Participate in process redesign, service enhancement, and successful integration of projects into routine operations.
