Role Significance and Responsibilities

The Q-Commerce Lead plays a pivotal role in one of Calo's fastest expanding business segments, driving the company's growth on aggregator platforms with full ownership of online sales performance, strategic partnerships, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

You will command two distinct business models with tailored commercial strategies:

  • Restaurant Aggregators: Manage Calo's restaurant presence on platforms like Talabat, HungerStation, Jahez, Careem, Deliveroo, Keeta, Ninja, among others. Focus on boosting online orders through optimized menus, pricing, promotional offers, visibility, and delivery efficiency.
  • Marketplace & CPG: Handle Calo’s packaged goods across Calo Market, grocery marketplaces, and aggregator dark stores. Optimize product discoverability, assortment, merchandising, availability, pricing, and promotional tactics to increase sales.

Coordination with teams including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience along with external partners is critical to sustain growth and enhance platform performance. Workdays are split as follows: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday for Restaurant Aggregators; Monday and Wednesday for Marketplace & CPG.

Key Duties

  • Lead Calo’s presence and performance across food delivery services and marketplaces.
  • Increase online sales by refining menu selections, pricing strategies, promotions, bundles, keywords, and platform exposure.
  • Improve key metrics like order volume, average order value, repeat purchase rates, customer ratings, and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Dispatch to ensure a flawless order-to-delivery flow.
  • Manage product assortment planning, merchandising, pricing, promotional campaigns, and category performance for packaged goods.
  • Ensure product availability and inventory accuracy partnering with Supply Chain and Logistics teams.
  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships with aggregator partners, handling commercial negotiations and promotional placements.
  • Monitor revenue, orders, conversion rates, retention, customer feedback, profitability, and visibility to guide actionable insights and growth strategies.
  • Work alongside Marketing on promotional scheduling, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Q-Commerce, food delivery platforms, marketplace or aggregator management, or e-commerce.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing food delivery aggregators like Talabat, HungerStation, Jahez, Deliveroo, Careem, or similar.
  • Strong commercial acumen, accountable for online sales, revenue, and key performance indicators.
  • Skilled in negotiating commercial terms, promotional projects, and partnerships.
  • Data-savvy with a proven ability to leverage analytics for business decision-making.
  • Excellent communicator with robust stakeholder and relationship management capabilities.
  • Additional experience in Customer Experience, Marketing, Digital Merchandising, or Design is advantageous.
  • Experience in food-tech, quick-service restaurants, grocery, retail, or consumer goods preferred.
