Role Overview

As a Regional Program Coordinator in Philadelphia, you will play a key role in implementing a community wellness initiative aimed at empowering teens to make healthier choices. You will assist the Regional Program Manager in training and supervising near-peer college mentors from local universities, helping them deliver HealthCorps’ curriculum and events at middle and high schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with university partners, community organizations, school and district staff to ensure smooth delivery of health programming across 15–25 schools.
• Assist in recruiting, training, onboarding, and overseeing near-peer mentors who lead in-school programs.
• Conduct research on local health disparities and evaluate program impact through reporting and tracking.
• Oversee logistics such as mentor scheduling, supply procurement, and event coordination to support program activities throughout the school year.
• Deliver HealthCorps lessons and coordinate educational events directly within schools and community settings when needed.
• Support marketing and awareness efforts by contributing to social media content and stakeholder communications to highlight student achievements.
• Promote HealthCorps’ mission by maintaining a personal commitment to health and wellness and fostering accessible health initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
• Recent college graduate passionate about health, education, and community service.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative with strong organizational abilities.
• Experience engaging with youth in classroom or mentoring roles; dedication to fostering meaningful teen relationships.
• Committed to addressing health inequities and advancing community wellness.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Adaptable multitasker able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Eager to launch innovative programs and maintain a growth mindset for professional and personal development.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse populations.
• Committed to increasing cultural awareness and challenging systemic inequities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Extended periods of desk and computer work.
• Available to travel up to 50 miles within the Philadelphia region and occasionally for staff training or retreats one to two times annually.
• Ability to lift loads up to 15 pounds.

Compensation and Work Conditions

This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00, which varies based on qualifications and location. The position is primarily remote but requires regular travel to program sites across Philadelphia. Some evening, weekend, and occasional overnight travel may be needed.
