Role Overview

The Scrum Master will play a servant leadership role for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) Agile Scrum team, applying extensive training and experience to ensure delivery of high-quality software by supporting and enhancing the Agile development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assist and guide product owners to align priorities with product objectives and maintain the product backlog.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous process improvement within the team.
• Ensure open and transparent communication among the development team and stakeholders.
• Prepare the team to effectively participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
• Collaborate with other scrum masters through Scrum of Scrums sessions.
• Coordinate preparation for quarterly release planning meetings.
• Comply with NASIC security protocols and clearance requirements as needed for classified projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies including User Stories, Continuous Integration and Testing, Team Agreements, Definition of Done/Ready, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Proven ability to support and coach product owners, particularly in product backlog refinement and maintenance.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence tools for Agile project management.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master with a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Strong adaptability to evolving requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its interaction with Agile development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certification.
• Willingness and ability to support software testing activities including designing and executing test plans, documenting results, maintaining tracking tools, and collaborating with users for requirement validation.
• Experience programming test utilities using Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as TestComplete, Google Test, or QF-Test.
