Security Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This opportunity is for seasoned cybersecurity professionals who want to help improve advanced AI systems while working remotely and choosing their own hours. The work centers on validating AI outputs against practical security knowledge so the models become more accurate and useful in real-world scenarios.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with modern AI models on assignments such as reviewing AI-created security material, tackling technical security challenges, and sharing insights that influence how the systems understand threats and defenses. Some people use this as a side engagement alongside another full-time position, while others make it their main work.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive an email confirmation and paid tasks will be unlocked on the platform.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-produced cybersecurity content, including threat evaluations, vulnerability reviews, and offensive-security concepts, to check whether it is accurate and practical.
• Create and solve security-related technical prompts and problems used to train AI models.
• Produce concise technical write-ups and security-oriented code examples.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI security tools.

Compensation and working arrangement

This is an independent contractor role. Pay is hourly, beginning at $50 to $100+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus rates. Payment is issued through PayPal. You choose the projects you take on, and you can work from your own computer on a schedule that suits you.

Eligibility and qualifications

This role is open only to applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of practical cybersecurity experience in areas such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related government or military cyber work. Comfort with coding and the ability to navigate and modify a codebase are important. Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, along with excellent writing skills, is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar credentials are considered an advantage.
