Role Overview
As a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer, you will play a critical role in investigating and diagnosing failure modes of our complex, integrated electromechanical products such as Halter collars and tower components. These devices must operate reliably for 6-10 years in diverse field conditions without repair or servicing. By thoroughly understanding each failure's root cause, you will help improve product durability and customer satisfaction globally. This role bridges lab testing and field performance, requiring close collaboration with engineering teams and a methodical, inquisitive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on debugging and root cause analysis of the most challenging hardware failures.
- Develop and refine failure analysis processes to increase diagnostic accuracy and minimize false negatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, helping them improve their technical skills and analytical approaches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, production, supplier quality, and networking teams to investigate failures and implement solutions.
- Support recruitment efforts to build a disciplined, technically proficient, and curious failure analysis team.
