Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will oversee, coordinate, and guide Professional Services projects from conception to completion, handling complex client engagements. This role acts as the primary liaison between clients and internal technical and business teams, fostering relationships to identify new business opportunities and ensuring projects meet all defined goals.

Position is full-time, based onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Proficiency in Arabic language is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Rackspace and client stakeholders to collect and document requirements aimed at resolving client challenges through successful project delivery and benefits realization.
• Serve as the intermediary between clients and Rackspace technical and non-technical teams to guarantee fulfillment of all project objectives.
• Establish and sustain a robust network of cross-functional technical resources within Rackspace and partner organizations to enhance productivity, business growth, and expedite issue resolution.
• Contribute to enhancing the Rackspace Professional Services methodology.
• Deliver exceptional support by promoting Rackspace's value to both prospects and existing clients along with internal sales teams.
• Manage project scope, planning, monitoring, and execution to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
• Prepare essential project documentation such as Project Initiation Documents (PID), plans, logs, and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues proactively, crafting and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee changes to the project baseline, analyzing variances and impact via strict change control processes.
• Monitor deliverables from both internal and external third parties, maintaining constant communication to track progress.
• Compile and present detailed project status and challenges to stakeholders from both Rackspace and clients.
• Support proposal development, including RFP/RFI responses and Statements of Work by analyzing scope, duration, deliverables, resources, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Work closely with sales pursuit teams, program and project managers, technical consultants, solution architects, partners, and cross-functional groups during pre-sales and delivery stages to ensure timely execution and address risks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
• Proven expertise in consistently leading and executing projects reliably and methodically.
• Conversational technical knowledge in Public Cloud, DataCenter strategy and operations, capacity management, backup, storage, disaster recovery, migration, and consolidation.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management and Service Delivery principles; ITIL certification preferred.
• Strong skills in time management, communication, decision-making, presentations, interpersonal relations, and organization.
• Adept at resolving problems efficiently and communicating technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• General understanding of cloud technologies, IT operations, and project management processes.
• Ability to adapt within dynamic environments, managing shifting priorities and ambiguity.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite including Project and Visio; familiarity with other project management tools.
• Experience managing technical projects from planning to delivery, preferably in managed services or cloud environments.
• Background working on infrastructure technology projects.
