Role Overview and Responsibilities

As Senior Purchasing Manager at Geely Auto Deutschland in Frankfurt, you will oversee the procurement operations across all departments within the company, emphasizing Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Logistics categories. Your core responsibility is to ensure the timely and cost-efficient sourcing of indirect goods and services that support business functions.

You will closely collaborate with teams from Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to accurately identify purchasing requirements and align procurement strategies with overall business objectives. This includes scouting and assessing potential suppliers in critical areas such as transportation, storage, promotions, advertising, and event management, taking into account factors like quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance capabilities.

Negotiating contracts is a pivotal part of this role, where you will secure advantageous terms regarding pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and service levels. Continual relationship management with suppliers is essential, including performance monitoring and resolving any issues or disagreements during contract fulfillment.

Developing cost optimization and efficiency enhancement initiatives within the supply chain and marketing activities will be undertaken in collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Additionally, keeping abreast of market trends and conducting industry analyses within the automotive sector will allow you to identify areas for improvement and sustain competitive advantages.

You will also lead tender processes and evaluate proposals to guarantee that all quality, pricing, and timeline requirements are fulfilled across purchasing areas. Formulating procurement policies and procedures—such as single sourcing and supplier recommendations—will ensure transparent and streamlined purchasing operations. Maintaining comprehensive and current documentation on purchasing activities and contracts, in accordance with company protocols and legal regulations, is required.

Candidate Background and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong analytical mindset paired with excellent interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in both English and German.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
