Job Overview
This role involves designing, creating, customizing, and maintaining SharePoint-based solutions tailored for marine operations, offshore construction projects, vessel management, and various corporate departments including HR, Administration, and Finance. The primary goal is to enhance collaboration, document management, process automation, and compliance across both onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and sustain an intranet environment through SharePoint Online.
- Tailor SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, web parts, and permissions to fulfill company needs.
- Create and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and SharePoint Framework components as appropriate.
- Continuously update intranet content as required.
- Manage the company’s main website support and propose improvement strategies.
- Implement read-only document controls in SharePoint to safeguard critical operational, engineering, contractual, HR, cybersecurity, policy and compliance documents.
- Set up permission levels, role-based access, and manage inheritance to restrict unauthorized editing, deleting, downloading, or sharing of sensitive documents.
- Apply document protection techniques including SharePoint permission settings, version control, check-in/out policies, Information Rights Management, sensitivity labels via Microsoft Purview, and records management policies to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of document libraries and permissions to guarantee adherence to company IT policies, Saudi Arabia’s PDPL regulations, and client standards.
- Convert business workflows such as HR policies, HSE reporting, maintenance, facility administration, recruitment, and transportation into automated SharePoint workflows.
- Enhance document management, approval procedures, and records retention aligned with cybersecurity mandates and company policies.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and Power BI.
- Support integration with department-specific platforms like Oracle, financial management systems, maintenance, helpdesk, social media, and the website when necessary.
- Provide SharePoint users technical support, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements across shore facilities.
- Create user manuals, standard operating procedures, and conduct training sessions to promote efficient usage.
- Ensure compliance of solutions with IT security policies, cybersecurity standards, data governance, and regulatory frameworks such as ISM, ISPS, and ISO.
- Maintain role-based access control, data integrity, version history, and backup protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest Microsoft 365 and SharePoint developments and suggest optimizations.
- Identify and implement digital transformation opportunities to streamline company operations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience in IT, software development, systems engineering, or related technical fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in the Oil & Gas sector with comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, procedures, and technologies.
