Role Overview

The Shift Lead is a full-time, in-store leadership role for someone who enjoys customer service, team support, and retail operations. This person acts as a brand ambassador, helps create an excellent shopping experience, and is expected to build a path toward retail management.

Key Duties

• Deliver a high standard of customer service and help maintain a positive environment for the store team.
• Support and train store associates so production targets are reached, including tasks related to product finishing.
• Take charge of different in-store activities throughout the shift while upholding store and brand standards.
• Keep sales-floor traffic moving smoothly.
• Ensure merchandising and product presentation are completed correctly.
• Help enforce food safety procedures and follow-through.
• Work toward sales goals while supporting compliance and loss-prevention standards.
• Join team meetings to review goals, progress, and areas that need improvement.
• Carry out other store manager-assigned duties as needed.

Candidate Profile

The employer is looking for someone with at least one year of experience in retail sales or a comparable fast-moving, customer-focused environment, ideally with growing responsibility. Strong communication and people skills are important, along with reliability, scheduling flexibility, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for chocolate.

Physical Requirements

This role may require standing and staying active for long periods, moving quickly between tasks, assisting multiple customers, and adapting to changing priorities such as restocking or reorganizing displays. It also involves bending, squatting, reaching, cleaning, and lifting up to 25 kg.
