Role overview

Zeal Engineering is hiring mobile plant operators for a civil shutdown assignment based out of Perth, Western Australia. The work is expected to start as a shutdown from 22 June to 5 July, with FIFO travel from Perth. Candidates must also be available to complete a course in Perth on 16 June.

• Excavator operator
• Roller operator
• Water cart operator
• Moxy operator

What the role involves

The position sits within a civil shutdown environment, with an emphasis on working safely and effectively around rail and bridge-related activity. Experience in rail and bridge work is preferred.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will come from a civil background, with exposure to rail and concrete work seen as an advantage. Prior shutdown experience is essential, along with a solid understanding of radio communication while working around mobile equipment and ground crews. A minimum HR licence is required, and holding mobile plant tickets is considered beneficial.

Safety and compliance requirements

Applicants must hold a CAT3 Rail Medical and Rio Tinto inductions. They must also be able to pass a medical and drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing will apply on site.
