Role Overview
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our client's team, playing a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards throughout the supplier network. This position involves close collaboration with suppliers to promote continuous quality enhancement, ensure regulatory adherence, and facilitate the delivery of outstanding products and customer satisfaction.
Main Duties
- Perform supplier audits, compile audit documentation, and handle corrective and preventive actions following audits.
- Investigate supplier quality concerns, manage complaints, and make decisions regarding quarantine or rejection of non-conforming raw materials.
- Maintain and revise quality documentation, such as the Approved Supplier List and related quality control records.
- Recognize quality risks associated with critical raw materials and work jointly with suppliers to develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers through frequent performance evaluations and continuous improvement projects.
- Confirm that supplier operations conform to quality standards, regulatory frameworks, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, manufacturing, or comparable technical settings.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards like ISO 13485; certifications such as Internal or Lead Auditor are advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to analyze data and discover opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 5% of the time.
