Role Overview

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist dedicated to optimizing the seamless flow of materials, products, and information within our supply chain. This position encompasses responsibilities in procurement, inventory oversight, material planning, supplier coordination, logistics, and ERP data management, ensuring material availability to meet both production targets and customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, issue, and manage purchase orders aligned with production plans and operational needs.
• Engage with suppliers regarding order progress, shortages, delivery schedules, alterations, and quality issues.
• Track supplier performance metrics including lead times, delivery reliability, and fulfillment rates.
• Maintain precise records for suppliers, pricing, purchasing transactions, and ERP systems.
• Monitor inventory quantities to support production and customer demand.
• Evaluate inventory patterns to highlight opportunities for reducing excess, obsolete stock, and associated costs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Support, Warehouse, and supplier teams to resolve supply challenges.
• Assist in material planning, demand forecasting, production scheduling, and set planning parameters like lead times, safety stock, and reorder points.
• Manage coordination of inbound and outbound shipments domestically and internationally.
• Work alongside freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Produce and review supply chain reports and KPIs such as supplier performance, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and turnover rates.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting inventory optimization, process streamlining, cost savings, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related fields.
• At least three years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory control, logistics, or similar roles.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, transportation carriers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and decision-making capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data evaluation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and personal accountability.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productive collaboration with different teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing, automation, healthcare technology, or regulated industries.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, Finance & Operations, SAP, Epicor, NetSuite, Oracle, or equivalents.
• Involvement in ERP implementations, system upgrades, data migrations, or master data cleansing projects.
• Professional certifications such as SCMP, APICS/ASCM, CPIM, or CSCP.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.

Work Environment

This hybrid role is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, combining remote work with frequent in-office presence at ARxIUM's location. The position requires active interaction with warehouse and production teams and regular use of ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
