About the Role
At Micron Technology, we are on a mission to revolutionize how information enhances lives globally. Join our dedicated and inclusive team focused on driving innovation through cutting-edge solutions spanning virtual reality to neural networks, all while upholding integrity, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Micron's Process Control Systems (PCS), including the SPACE Statistical Process Control (SPC) platform, Applied Materials E3 Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), Run to Run (R2R), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), MESCentral, Manufacturing Application Management (MAM), and Recipe Management Systems (RMS).
- Create and revise SPC charts, define control limits, rules, and attributes, while continuously monitoring chart performance and escalating any anomalies.
- Update FDC traces, limits, and alarms; conduct basic troubleshooting; and enable or disable R2R models based on engineering guidance.
- Process recipe changes and parameter adjustments, validate recipe uploads, and ensure proper equipment communication within RMS.
- Maintain specification consistency via SigmaSpec updates aligned with approved engineering modifications.
- Implement MES changes, perform validations, manage state transitions, and support accuracy in work-in-progress tracking, equipment status, and data collection plans; troubleshoot MES-related errors.
- Support MAM workflows linked to PCS, validate rule behavior influencing SPC, FDC, and system communications; escalate logic issues affecting control strategies.
- Adhere to governance and documentation protocols following engineering change notices (ECN) and site procedures; maintain detailed change logs and verification evidence.
- Monitor dashboards for alarms, data inconsistencies, and communication faults; perform first-level diagnostics and escalate issues as necessary.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, PCS/Automation, and Quality Engineering teams; provide on-floor assistance during major system updates or equipment conversions.
- Demonstrate problem-solving through structured and data-driven troubleshooting, take accountability for system reliability and documentation accuracy, foster teamwork across engineering and operations, and apply continuous improvement and innovation mindset amidst complexity.
Qualifications
- Possess a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, IT, Automation, or related disciplines.
- Have a fundamental understanding of SPC, automation technology, and semiconductor manufacturing operations.
- Experience with SPACE SPC, E3 FDC/R2R, RMS, MES/Shop Floor systems, and SigmaSpec is advantageous.
- Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or automation environments is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
