Tool and Fixture Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Tool and Fixture Design Engineer with substantial experience in designing welding, assembly, and gauge inspection fixtures using Creo CAD tools. This role requires a solid grasp of manufacturing concepts and an ability to independently manage projects while communicating effectively in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop welding, assembly, and gauge inspection fixtures leveraging the Creo CAD platform.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes along with principles of resting, locating, and clamping in tool design.
• Utilize GD&T principles to create precise manufacturing drawings.
• Interpret product drawings and blueprints accurately to support fixture fabrication.
• Analyze tolerance stacks for large assemblies to ensure component compatibility.
• Understand materials commonly used in fixture design, including welding symbols and heat treatment procedures.
• Leverage knowledge of limit fits, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning to enhance design accuracy.
• Additional familiarity with PDM software Windchill is advantageous.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of three years of practical experience in concept and design of welding and assembly fixtures using Creo.
• Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes and fixture design principles.
• Strong command over GD&T and related drafting standards.
• Ability to comprehensively interpret technical drawings and perform tolerance analyses.
• Good communication skills in English to independently drive projects.
