Trade Operations Associate

Role Overview

We are seeking a Trade Operations Associate to join a prestigious global investment management firm’s Middle Office team based in Dubai. This position offers a chance to engage directly in the trade lifecycle management across a variety of asset classes, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle activities for equities, fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and structured products.
• Facilitate trade capture, allocations, affirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle event processing.
• Engage with front-office personnel to resolve queries related to trades, profit and loss, and reconciliations.
• Monitor corporate actions and coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties as necessary.
• Collaborate with control and reconciliation units to maintain accurate books and records.
• Utilize industry-standard platforms and infrastructure for trade monitoring and management.
• Identify and drive process improvements to boost operational efficiency.
• Contribute to operational risk reduction by implementing effective controls and ensuring prompt issue resolution.
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, custodians, administrators, and other partners.
• Support the enhancement of operational workflows and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Trade Operations, Middle Office, or Investment Operations roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and trade processing across multiple asset types.
• Hands-on experience with products like equities, fixed income, futures, options, swaps, FX, and other derivatives.
• Familiar with trade lifecycle management, settlement procedures, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
• Understanding of front-to-back investment operations and risk management fundamentals.
• Strong analytical skills combined with problem-solving aptitude.
• High attention to detail with capability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with several systems/platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
