About the internship
Internship Overview
This internship offers the opportunity to develop and enhance Reneo's real-time video and live shopping platform using Agora technology. Responsibilities include integrating the RTC SDK for both hosts and audience livestreams, enabling secure token management, channel controls, multi-host support, and facilitating real-time user interactions.
Interns will build essential livestream features such as displaying viewer counts, detecting active speakers, implementing reactions and raise-hand functions, moderator capabilities, live chat, automated Agora Cloud Recording, Amazon S3 data storage, and enabling playback of livestreams.
Additional tasks involve optimizing audio and video quality, managing network reconnections and interruptions, bridging Agora functionalities with React/TypeScript frontends and backend REST APIs, collaborating across Frontend, Backend, and Mobile teams, as well as performing multi-device testing and maintaining documentation.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be able to work remotely, based on the Work From Home setup.
- Availability during 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Indian Standard Time is required, aligning with the company’s regional work hours.
- Candidates should be able to commence the internship between August 9th and September 13th, 2026.

Compensation and Benefits
The stipend ranges from 325 to 500 USD per month, with an additional monthly incentive pay between 75 and 150 USD. Successful interns will also receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation upon completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with WebRTC, Agora, Twilio Video, Daily, LiveKit, or comparable real-time communication platforms is highly valued.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React frameworks is essential.
- Familiarity with Agora RTC, Cloud Recording, RESTful APIs, AWS S3, and real-time application development will be advantageous.
- Candidates should submit a GitHub repository, portfolio, or demonstration showcasing previous real-time communication projects such as video calling or livestreaming.
- Technical competence in troubleshooting WebRTC-related challenges including network issues, device permissions, and token management is desirable.
- Immediate availability for full-time commitment is preferred.
