Hodson Bay Hotel seeks a skilled Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our team, dedicated to outstanding hospitality service. In this role, you will assist the Accommodation Manager in overseeing daily operations of the accommodation department, ensuring all guest rooms, public spaces, and behind-the-scenes areas meet top cleanliness and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Delegate daily cleaning duties and assign tasks to Accommodation Assistants and Porters.
Provide ongoing training and professional growth opportunities for accommodation staff.
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee cleanliness and adherence to standards.
Record and promptly address maintenance defects and issues, ensuring proper follow-up.
Supervise deep cleaning schedules and manage related maintenance activities.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation in rooms and front-of-house spaces at all times.
Collaborate closely with front office, reservations, maintenance, and other departments for smooth operations and superior guest satisfaction.
Respond swiftly and effectively to guest concerns and complaints.
Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation protocols are rigorously followed.
Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
Champion and implement sustainable, eco-friendly initiatives within the accommodation department.

Candidate Profile

Experience in accommodation roles with at least one year in a supervisory or managerial position.
Strong leadership qualities and ability to manage teams effectively.
Keen attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Solid knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capable of working well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Competent IT skills.
