About the Role
Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. This position is focused on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining the bakery department's appearance, stocking products, and assisting with sales, all while upholding Walmart’s core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery department is fully stocked and business-ready at all times.
- Properly label and price all merchandise according to store standards.
- Follow policies related to cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and expiration date management.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation procedures, including cleaning protocols.
- Manage ordering, clearance, price adjustments, and labeling following prescribed procedures.
- Prepare bakery items by following precise thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality and appearance.
- Secure all bakery displays safely and appropriately.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
