Bar Captain

About the Role

As a Bar Captain at Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd in Hyderabad, you will oversee the entire bar operation ensuring high standards of beverage service, inventory control, and compliance with company guidelines and legal regulations. You will lead and supervise bartenders and bar assistants while ensuring a great guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bar operations efficiently.
• Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in line with company recipes and quality standards.
• Deliver prompt and courteous service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Train bartenders on drink preparation, presentation, and service protocols.
• Maintain and monitor beverage inventory through daily opening and closing stock checks to minimize waste.
• Control liquor costs and prevent breakage or spillage effectively.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are upheld in the bar area.
• Validate guests' legal drinking age and comply with all liquor laws.
• Promote premium drink selections to boost sales.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to facilitate seamless guest service.
• Prepare and maintain daily sales and inventory reports.
• Address guest complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, and mocktails.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a team.
• Skills in inventory management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and guest relationship skills.
• Experience in sales techniques including upselling.
• Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and bar standard operating procedures.
