Business Analyst

About the Role

Gigafest Consulting is seeking a talented Business Analyst to support transformation projects within a leading banking institution located in Toronto, Ontario. This contract position, expected to last 18 months with potential for extension or full-time employment, involves a hybrid work model requiring one day onsite per week. The ideal candidate will excel in translating complex data into actionable business insights and contributing to decision-making processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform raw data into insightful analysis through dashboards and reports.
• Design, build, and implement business analytics solutions tailored to organizational needs.
• Perform data cleansing and continuously monitor key performance indicators.
• Provide detailed weekly updates tracking projects and initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics, identifying and proactively addressing issues.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Interpret data trends and deliver strategic reporting on an ongoing basis.
• Develop efficient data collection methods to improve quality and productivity.
• Create thorough documentation covering analytics approaches and reporting standards.
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and maintain clear communication records.

Requirements

• Two to three years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Planner or MS Project.
• Strong analytical capabilities and excellent attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to work well within teams.
• Capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Background in automation and process improvement implementations.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and emerging technology trends.
• Familiarity with data visualization software.

Additional Information

This position offers an hourly rate ranging between 38 and 48 Canadian dollars. Immediate availability is preferred.
