Position Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst specializing as a Master Data Analyst based in Calgary, AB, for a 2-year contract role scheduled Monday through Friday. Reporting to the Manager of Inventory Management and Master Data, this position focuses on managing master data that facilitates end-to-end business functions across supply chain, procurement, and finance sectors. The role emphasizes data quality, accuracy, and compliance, requiring collaboration across diverse departments to enhance operational effectiveness and data integrity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain master data using enterprise tools such as SAP, WinShuttle, Master Data Management solutions, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Adhere strictly to master data governance policies, including managing approval workflows, maintaining data dictionaries, and documenting processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to collect accurate and comprehensive information for system input and necessary approvals.
- Handle intake requests emphasizing superior customer service, clear communication, and prompt response times.
- Conduct thorough validations to detect duplicates and ensure completeness before data entry.
- Perform ongoing data quality monitoring through audits, integrity checks, and submitting compliance reports.
- Utilize reports and analytic tools to detect data discrepancies and lead initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.
- Ensure alignment and compliance with corporate governance standards and business policies.
- Interpret system data to maintain conformity with business requirements and quality benchmarks.
- Assist with system upgrades, participate in User Acceptance Testing, and support process enhancement projects.
- Create and regularly update training materials, documentation, and knowledge base resources.
- Conduct audits focused on data integrity metrics and generate relevant reports.
- Provide training and support to business users to foster knowledge dissemination and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in supply chain environments.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Practical knowledge of SAP and LSMW/WinShuttle tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks under tight deadlines effectively.
Preferred Credentials and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar fields.
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, SCMP) or working towards them.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Fieldglass systems.
- Background in key supply chain areas including maintenance planning, materials management, and warehousing.
- Experience in providing training, user assistance, or knowledge sharing initiatives.
Additional Information
- Contract duration is 2 years.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday.
