Job Location and Shift
This position is based at Eurocentral, Scotland, and operates on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern covering both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a curtain sider trailer for a variety of tasks, including the collection and delivery of local palletised goods and trunking to ensure prompt service.
- Secure all loads properly using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transport.
- Conduct thorough daily safety inspections of the vehicle, reporting findings via your company phone to maintain consistent vehicle safety and reliability.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the transport team to provide delivery updates and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Engage in regular training sessions to keep up to date with industry standards and practices.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a UK Class 1 CE Driver Licence.
- Valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork attitude, polite and confident interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of local geography.
- Physically fit, adaptable, hardworking, and self-driven.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay of 17.42 with an extra 2.75 per hour for work between 21:00 and 04:00.
- Shift schedule of 4 days on, 4 days off including both day and night shifts with varying start times.
