Commercial & Operations Head

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Commercial & Operations Head to lead and expand a premier retail furniture company in the UAE. This role demands a strategic leader who can enhance operational efficiencies, boost sales outcomes, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across numerous retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to manage comprehensive business operations, aligning strategies with growth and profitability targets.
• Conduct ongoing performance analysis and apply corrective measures where necessary.
• Drive coordination among retail, logistics, warehousing, and customer service teams.
• Lead and mentor store managers and department heads to foster high performance.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, expand market reach, and optimize product pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers, developers, suppliers, and corporate clients to identify new business opportunities particularly in retail, hospitality, and project sales.
• Maintain superior standards in visual merchandising and operational excellence to enhance customer experience and brand presence.
• Track retail KPIs including conversion rates, average transaction value, and sales productivity.
• Oversee inventory management by ensuring efficient procurement, warehousing, and timely product delivery while optimizing stock accuracy and turnover rates.
• Support financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring operational costs to drive profitability and improve margins.
• Recruit, develop, and retain talented teams, setting performance benchmarks and carrying out regular appraisals.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws and human resources best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail, Supply Chain, or similar discipline.
• MBA or relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in the retail industry, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership positions.
• Strong expertise in furniture, home furnishings, or interior retail sectors.
• Experience managing operations across multiple store locations within the UAE is essential.
• Demonstrated business acumen with a proven history of driving revenue growth.
• Comprehensive understanding of the UAE retail market and consumer behavior trends.
• Fluent English communication skills required; native English proficiency is a plus.
