Role Overview
As a Commis Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Culinary and Head Chef to support all daily kitchen operations and associated outlets, including buffet breakfast, Pumphouse Bar and restaurant, in-room dining, and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure the availability of mise en place as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality culinary dishes.
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Adhere to recipes and manage portion control accurately.
- Rotate, store, and label stock properly to maintain quality.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Adaptable and thrives working in a busy, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Works effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Possesses knowledge of diverse cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Demonstrates great attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
