Role Overview
The Content Developer position is a part-time, onsite role located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role involves crafting marketing content consistent with client brand strategies, entailing tasks such as researching topics, drafting and editing materials for campaigns, presentations, digital channels, and internal communications. Collaboration with designers, video producers, and strategists is key to ensure content clarity and consistency. Additional duties include simplifying complex concepts into accessible messages, maintaining content libraries, and supporting basic project coordination linked to content delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient communication and writing skills in both English and Amharic, focusing on clarity, conciseness, and audience engagement.
- Experience in content development and organization for marketing and communication efforts.
- Strong capabilities in instructional design and technical writing to logically structure information and clarify complex topics.
- Meticulous attention to grammar, tone, and uniformity across various content types.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time efficiently, and juggle multiple projects with deadlines.
- Knowledge of marketing and branding principles, comfortable working alongside creative and strategic teams.
- Familiarity with standard productivity and collaboration software such as word processors, presentation tools, and online communication platforms.
- Relevant academic credentials in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Linguistics, or related fields, or practical equivalent experience.
