Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Video Editor on a contract basis to join our creative team remotely. The primary responsibility is to produce and edit YouTube videos that conform precisely to our established content style. This involves transforming raw footage, scripts, and reference materials into engaging, high-quality videos that mirror the pacing, tone, and visual style typical of our brand. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure quality, consistency, and prompt delivery is integral. A strong technical foundation, close attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed creative directives are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit both long-form and short-form YouTube videos replicating the unique style of Orlando Informer creators.
- Match pacing, music choices, graphics, sound design, and storytelling methods based on given examples.
- Compile raw videos, screen captures, voiceovers, music, and graphic elements into seamless finished videos.
- Integrate text overlays, simple motion graphics, b-roll footage, sound effects, and embellishments as needed.
- Ensure all videos meet YouTube best practices for pacing, clarity, and engagement retention.
- Respond promptly to feedback and implement revisions while maintaining high-quality output.
- Organize project files and exports systematically for easy retrieval and version tracking.
- Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines to support continuous content publication.
- Support additional video-related duties to assist overall team objectives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience editing YouTube videos with a portfolio showcasing consistent style and storytelling capabilities.
- Ability to accurately emulate a specific editing style and adhere to detailed creative guidance.
- Proficiency in professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Experience managing shared assets, adhering to brand standards, and referencing example videos.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including timing, sound levels, text precision, and visual coherence.
- Strong communication and responsiveness within a remote work setting.
- Interest or familiarity with theme parks, travel, or digital content creation on YouTube.
- Self-driven with excellent organization skills and a reliable ability to meet deadlines.
