About the Role
Amey is seeking a dedicated Contractor Escort to work on-site at HMP Long Lartin, playing a crucial role in ensuring maintenance activities within the prison operate efficiently, safely, and compliantly. This position involves monitoring contractors, conducting safety and site inductions, and supporting operational teams within the establishment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safety and security checks on contractors and monitor their activities.
- Conduct site induction sessions for contractors and visitors.
- Provide flexible support to various operational tasks within the prison as required.
- Assist contractors working onsite to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
- Contribute to local and organizational initiatives aimed at reducing carbon footprint and supporting zero carbon goals.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across all contracted activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional and client-focused approach to delivering services.
- Demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm towards diverse duties.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Possession of a valid full UK driving license.
- Strong awareness of security and safety considerations.
- Confident in identifying and addressing potential risks or compromises.
Additional Information
- Prison Security Clearance is mandatory; support will be provided during the clearance process.
- Standard working hours are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with an early finish on Fridays.
- The annual salary offered is £27,426.
