Role Overview
We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our Development team in Melbourne. This role involves supporting the effective delivery of major industrial, logistics, and commercial development projects. You will collaborate closely with Development, Project Management, Legal teams, and external contractors to ensure projects are efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee contract administration and commercial activities across various development projects to maintain compliance and facilitate project success.
- Offer commercial support for client and contractor contracts, managing claims, variations, time extensions, and contractual correspondence.
- Handle both upstream and downstream contract administration, aiming to identify and reduce commercial and contractual risks.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as reports, registers, meeting minutes, and contract records to back project governance.
- Coordinate processes related to tendering, procurement, consultant and contractor agreements, payment claims, and project approvals.
Candidate Requirements
- A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Property, or allied disciplines.
- Previous experience in a Tier 1 contractor environment with focus on contract administration, project coordination, or commercial management.
- Strong grasp of contract management practices, procurement, claims and variations, and commercial risk, with capability to generate comprehensive cost reports independently.
- Familiarity with engineering/building principles, construction documentation, the Building Code of Australia, and development delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines with proficient stakeholder management.
