About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous Copy Editor to join a proactive content development team focused on delivering high-quality test item content. This contract, part-time role involves ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to quality standards in educational materials. The engagement is for 30 hours weekly on a 6-month term with potential for extensions, supporting both ongoing product maintenance and new content creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine educational content to guarantee grammatical accuracy and stylistic consistency.
• Maintain high editorial standards by ensuring clarity and precision in test items.
• Work independently to meet demanding deadlines and project volumes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a copy editor, particularly with test or educational materials.
• Exceptional proofreading capabilities and an acute eye for detail.
• Strong proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style guides.
• Effective organizational skills and time management to handle project demands efficiently.
• Preferred background includes experience with standardized testing, content management systems, and exam content development.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Education, or a related discipline.
• Over two years of prior professional editing experience.

Additional Information

• Part-time commitment: up to 30 hours per week.

• Ability to consistently produce large volumes of content within set timelines.
