Responsibilities

  • Provide critical feedback to the Senior Cost Planner on efficient unit types, layouts, and building materials during design progression.
  • Collaborate with the cost planning team using live project benchmarking data to develop budgets.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to align specifications and budgets with market demands.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for upcoming developments and assist site teams with related documents and budgets.
  • Maintain and expand a databank of Cairn construction costs supporting cost estimation and financial appraisals.
  • Assist in preparing Part V applications to Local Authorities and monitor compliance.
  • Engage with Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) consultants to ensure up-to-date BoQs for budget accuracy.
  • Attend necessary meetings and site visits.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum two years of post-graduate experience with a PQS or Developer.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet time and quality objectives effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in Buildsoft-Cubit, Cost-ex or similar software, alongside Microsoft Word and Excel.
