Job Overview
The role of Payments Specialist within our last-mile delivery team is pivotal for ensuring that our delivery partners are compensated accurately and promptly. This position involves close collaboration with various internal teams including finance, OTR, Tax, and DPM to establish and maintain efficient payment processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement payment procedures for Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
- Build and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders to guarantee accuracy and promptness in payments.
- Monitor and verify payment schedules to ensure business continuity and sustainability.
- Operate from the corporate office, maintaining direct contact with the essential teams involved in payment approvals and input.
Team Context
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages last-mile deliveries in partnership with third-party distributors, focusing on innovation and process improvement to deliver millions of products smoothly and effectively to customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Have experience in interacting with external customers.
- Preferably skilled in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
- Familiarity with general artificial intelligence tools is advantageous.
