Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement procedures for data preparation (pre-processing) while addressing potential biases in datasets.
• Conduct exploratory data analyses as well as develop, validate, and evaluate statistical models and hypotheses.
• Select, adapt, scale, and implement analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
• Visualize and communicate analysis outcomes and recommendations effectively to various audiences.
• Collaborate with data engineers to support the deployment of algorithms and machine learning models into production environments.
• Establish and enhance model monitoring processes and analyze and improve model performance during operation.
• Ensure data handling complies with legal and ethical standards.
• Develop and apply anonymization and pseudonymization techniques.
• Independently address complex and unstructured challenges by designing sustainable solutions.
• Provide professional guidance to team members and contribute to onboarding new colleagues.
• Lead projects and coordinate cooperation with related departments.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong expertise in developing, implementing, and optimizing analytics algorithms and machine learning models.
• Proven skills in statistical data analysis and data model development and validation.
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Solid knowledge of SQL.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Analytical and structured work approach with the ability to clearly explain complex issues.
• Experience in project work and leading teams is advantageous.
