Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

This full-time, on-location position based in Nagpur requires the Database Administrator to oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of databases underpinning Oxybills’ digital solutions. The duties include monitoring database health and performance, formulating and enforcing backup and recovery protocols, managing user access and security controls, and ensuring data integrity and system availability. The role demands designing and refining database schemas, resolving technical database issues, and assisting development teams with queries, stored procedures, and performance improvements. Additional tasks involve configuring replication for high availability, planning database capacity, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of database policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in database administration tasks such as setup, configuration, performance monitoring, and backup/recovery processes.
• Experienced in database design and schema optimization for scalable, secure, and efficient applications.
• Capable of troubleshooting and applying performance tuning techniques to quickly resolve database issues.
• Knowledgeable in configuring replication and high availability setups to guarantee business continuity and data consistency.
• Hands-on experience with relational database management systems like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; familiarity with cloud-based databases such as Azure SQL is advantageous.
• Strong command of SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization methods.
• Understanding of database security measures including access controls, encryption, and compliance protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development and operations teams, paired with solid analytical and documentation skills.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience within B2B or enterprise SaaS environments and knowledge of .NET or cloud-oriented architectures is a plus.
