Role overview
NZ Post is looking for a full-time Delivery Agent in South Dunedin. In this role, you will be the public face of the organisation, handling mail and parcel delivery while supporting local communities and customers. You will begin each day by sorting and processing items at the Strathallan Street branch, then head out on a delivery run using an eBike and/or motorcycle, working in all weather conditions.
Working pattern and pay
- Hourly pay is $27.86.
- The roster follows a five-day, two-week rotating pattern.
- Week 1 runs from Monday to Friday.
- Week 2 runs from Tuesday to Saturday.
- Shifts start at 7:30am.
What the job involves
This position is centred on reliable delivery of mail and parcels, accurate sorting, and strong day-to-day customer interaction. You will work with a team in the branch before carrying out deliveries independently in the community. The job suits someone who is comfortable with physical work, confident riding an eBike or motorbike, and committed to safe, timely service.
About you
- You can commit to the rotating five-day roster described above.
- You hold at least a restricted or full New Zealand driver licence, or a motorcycle licence.
- You are confident and capable on an eBike or motorbike.
- You are prepared for a physically active role.
- You have good numeracy and literacy skills for handling address and sorting details.
- You place safety first for yourself and your coworkers.
- You are willing to go further to keep customers satisfied.
- You take pride in doing the work correctly and consistently.
