Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer will work full-time onsite at Zone 25, Doha, contributing significantly to the electrical aspects of MEP projects. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, preparing detailed technical drawings and specifications, conducting load calculations, and sizing systems appropriately. The engineer will collaborate closely with mechanical and plumbing teams, review submissions from contractors and suppliers, and ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. Additionally, the role involves participating in site inspections, diagnosing electrical problems, supporting project scheduling, and offering expert technical advice during meetings and client communications.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering principles and electricity fundamentals.
- Proficiency in electrical system design and producing technical documentation and drawings.
- Expertise in power distribution including managing panel schedules and circuit layouts.
- Experience with power systems analysis, protection coordination, and enhancing system reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with MEP projects or building services engineering is advantageous.
- Well-versed with electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
- Competent in engineering design software and CAD tools.
- Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and capability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams onsite.
