Facilities Manager

Overview

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a Facilities Manager to join Etqan Global Academy, a newly established IB World School in Doha offering the IB Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme. The Facilities Manager will oversee daily management, operation, and upkeep of the school's infrastructure to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment conducive to education and community needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the school facilities to guarantee safety, functionality, and suitability for use.
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules and manage reactive repair tasks.
• Organize statutory inspections, testing, certification, and assist in internal and external audits.
• Supervise contractors and service providers onsite, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Facilitate refurbishment, capital improvement projects, and effective project coordination.
• Maintain detailed records of assets, equipment, and maintenance history to optimize lifecycle management.
• Assist in budget management and procurement for facilities, identifying efficiency improvements.
• Provide logistical support for school events, examinations, and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or similar fields.
• Proven experience managing facilities operations within a complex setting.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programs and external contractors.
• Solid knowledge of building maintenance, statutory compliance, and facilities management principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and IT capabilities.
• Certifications such as CFM, FMP, NEBOSH, IOSH, PMP, or PRINCE2 are preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in education sector and/or experience within the GCC region is advantageous.
