Project Details
This role is for offshore projects in Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, with work carried out at various offshore locations.
Role Overview
The Firing Line Operator will handle pipe movement and fit-up activities in the prefabrication area, line-up station, and J-lay tower assembly station. The position also requires safe operation of equipment in line with HSE procedures.
Key Duties
- Run pipeline conveyors and transfer cars in the double joint prefabrication area.
- Operate clamps used for fit-up work at the J-lay tower assembly station.
- Use support pipe rollers and transfer cars at the line-up stations.
- Raise any equipment issues or breakdowns with the mechanical team.
- Make sure green and red lights are used correctly based on the current work stage.
- Operate the ILUC system and its winches.
- Take part in toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis sessions.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should already have experience as a Firing Line Operator on pipe-lay vessels. Offshore hook-up experience is an advantage. A valid set of offshore certificates is required, and candidates must be available to work in the Middle East.
Offer and Terms
