Role Overview

The Designer contributes significantly to the creation of innovative, market-relevant collections tailored for high-street fashion brands. This important role demands a fusion of creativity, technical skill, and exceptional organizational capability to work seamlessly with the internal design team, account managers, offshore development units, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original fashion designs reflecting current trends and consumer tastes for mass-market fashion brands.
• Collaborate within the design team to shape seasonal palettes, fabrics, and micro-trends.
• Create design concepts in the form of sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings using industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Work closely with account managers and offshore product teams to finalize collections and prepare client presentations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, clients, factories, and partners across Europe and the Far East to ensure design objectives are met.
• Support fabric and trim selection aligned with aesthetic and functional criteria, including testing materials for performance and durability.
• Produce detailed technical packages with clear specifications and provide guidance to offshore teams to meet design timelines and standards.
• Coordinate with sample makers throughout prototype development, providing feedback during fittings on fit, comfort, and styling.
• Oversee sample quality, ensuring conformity to design and production standards, and collaborate with quality control to resolve issues during manufacturing.
