Overview
We are looking for a dedicated HR Operations Specialist for a 6-month contract position with remote work opportunity. This role supports HR Shared Services across North America by managing employee service delivery, coordinating activities, and providing administrative assistance. The specialist acts as a critical link among regional HR teams, offshore delivery groups, and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of HR requests.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate HR Shared Services tasks within North America.
- Administer US I-9 compliance documentation and related processes.
- Assist in managing and tracking unemployment claims.
- Handle intake and routing of entry-level employee relations cases.
- Provide operational and administrative support for HR back-office functions.
- Manage escalated issues requiring North American oversight.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure precise and timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor work queues, track pending requests, and drive resolution efforts.
- Support reporting activities, verify data accuracy, document processes, and aid general HR operations.
- Serve as a coordinator among employees, managers, HR teams, vendors, and other internal support units.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, Shared Services, or a related area.
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven capability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver on commitments.
- Ability to work effectively across dispersed teams and varying time zones.
- Strong technical proficiency with the capacity to quickly learn new systems.
- Customer-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an HR Shared Services or HR Operations environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud HCM platform.
- Experience using HRIS/payroll systems such as ADP Vantage.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or comparable ticketing and workflow management applications.
- Background in case management, employee inquiry support, or HR service delivery operations.
