Information Technology Manager

Position Overview

Echo IQ is a medical technology software firm that develops solutions under stringent regulatory standards including FDA, HIPAA, and SOC 2 compliance. As the company expands, it seeks a full-time IT Manager to lead and refine IT operations, enhance security measures, and support compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Microsoft Entra ID tasks such as user lifecycle, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access rules.
• Oversee Microsoft Intune mobile device management (MDM) across a mixed Mac and Windows environment, including configurations, compliance enforcement, application deployment, and remediation scripting.
• Administer macOS devices through Intune’s native Apple Business Manager tools and Automated Device Enrollment.
• Ensure endpoint compliance and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint security.
• Develop and maintain onboarding and offboarding procedures covering account provisioning, license management, device enrollment, and remote wiping in line with HIPAA and SOC 2 standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal IT support, adhering to service level agreements based on ticket priority and managing escalation paths.
• Collaborate with the CTO to expand IT infrastructure both domestically and internationally as the company grows.
• Align IT operations with HIPAA technical safeguards and contribute to SOC 2 Type II audit evidence collection and documentation.
• Regularly review Conditional Access policies, security baselines, and user access logs for continued compliance.
• Keep comprehensive IT documentation including runbooks and asset inventories, establishing knowledge sharing to prevent single points of failure.
• Manage the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) and assist with Single Sign-On (SSO) application administration through Entra ID.

Qualifications

• Active Microsoft certification: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) or MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) mandatory.
• Proven hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
• Demonstrable expertise managing macOS devices using Intune-native tooling rather than third-party solutions.
• History supporting HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance within an IT role.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in endpoint and identity management including Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Strong command of employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding and offboarding.
• Experience providing Tier 1 help desk support and managing SLAs.
• Skill in maintaining IT documentation, runbooks, and asset inventories.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) certification.
• Experience working in regulated environments with 25 to 75 employees preferred.
• Background in healthcare or biotechnology IT support.

Additional Desirable Expertise

• Familiarity with FDA software development environment regulatory factors.
• Experience aiding the collection of SOC 2 Type II audit evidence.
