About the Role
Al Muhaidib Group is looking for a skilled Manager to join their Internal Audit Department at the Head Office located in Eastern Saudi Arabia. The role involves leading risk-based audit projects across the parent company and its subsidiaries, enhancing governance, risk management, and internal control systems, and delivering independent assurance and advisory services to the Audit Committee and top management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing comprehensive annual and strategic internal audit plans covering the entire group.
- Lead the full audit lifecycle from planning through execution, reporting, and follow-up, ensuring audits are completed with quality and on schedule.
- Assess the efficiency of governance, risk management, and internal controls, providing clear evaluations to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
- Design and deploy enterprise risk management frameworks such as COSO ERM and ISO 31000, including establishing risk registers, risk appetite statements, and risk-control matrices.
- Develop corporate governance structures for both the holding entity and its subsidiaries, including board and committee charters as well as delegation of authority matrices.
- Implement and improve internal audit guidelines, methodologies, and operating models aligned with IIA standards.
- Create, enforce, and test policies and internal control systems, including those relating to Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
- Conduct special investigations, reviews, and advisory tasks as assigned.
- Prepare and deliver board-level presentations and reports in both Arabic and English.
- Foster productive relationships with business units, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, coach, and nurture the internal audit team’s development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Accounting.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credential is mandatory.
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience in internal audit, risk management, and governance with hands-on work within the GCC region.
- Experience as a Manager in consulting or advisory roles at a Big 4 firm or a prominent professional services company, or within a large multi-sector holding group.
- Thorough understanding of IIA standards, risk-based auditing, internal control frameworks, corporate governance principles, and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English at a professional level, including the ability to prepare and deliver board reports in both languages.
- Proven ability to work independently with sound judgment and effectively manage stakeholders at senior levels.
