Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role entails developing and delivering comprehensive features spanning React or Angular frontends and Java/Node.js-based microservices, leveraging REST APIs and Kafka event streams. You will be responsible for prompt engineering to ensure AI-generated code aligns with security and coding standards. Leveraging AI coding assistants, you will craft custom components and plugins to enhance development efficiency. Building multi-agent AI applications using SDKs to enable collaborative workflows is key.
Test-driven development (TDD) across all testing layers is expected, alongside enhancing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps. Cloud deployments via AWS and Azure using Docker and Kubernetes are part of the scope. Maintaining robust observability through structured logging and monitoring tools will be essential.
Close collaboration with cross-functional teams will translate business objectives into scalable, compliant technical solutions, managing concurrent workstreams and evolving priorities within agile methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Frontend: Expertise in React or Angular with micro-frontend architectures, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and frameworks for unit testing (Jasmine, Karma, Jest).
- Backend & Integration: Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot/Cloud), Node.js, RESTful microservices, Kafka and IBM MQ messaging, and Python scripting.
- Cloud & DevOps: Experience with AWS/Azure hybrid environments, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes including AKS/EKS), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Data Persistence: Working knowledge of transactional relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra), plus analytics platforms like Snowflake and Hadoop.
- Security & Quality: Familiarity with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Azure AD, Okta identity platforms, plus code quality and security tools such as Nexus IQ, Fortify, and SonarQube.
- Monitoring & Observability: Skills in ELK stack, Datadog for logging, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics for monitoring, and Git version control systems.
AI Engineering Competencies
- Strong command of AI coding tools including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, understanding AI-assisted coding workflows.
- Expertise in prompt engineering to produce reliable, compliant, production-quality AI-generated code.
- Hands-on development of custom AI coding agents, including agents, skills, hooks, MCP servers, and plugins.
Additional Information
